Homemade Bread

Homemade Bread is a staple in our house. This recipe is THE BEST. And the really great news is I make the dough in the bread machine. Then once the dough cycle is over, I shape into 2 loaves, and bake in regular bread pans. It's flavorful and soft. It's excellent with soup or pasta, or schmeared with butter and jam. Makes great toast, too.
Homemade White Bread
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 Tbsp softened butter
4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp powdered milk
1 Tbsp dough enhancer
1 tsp yeast

Add ingredients into bread machine in order given. Process on dough setting. Once cycle is complete, remove dough and cut into two pieces. Form each into a loaf and place in a greased bread pan. Let raise until double. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Butter the top of hot loaves.
